Prove the grab before extras
The first hour is not the time for Grab Templates, bulk folder scans, or Tesseract tuning. Open Full-Screen Grab, select clear printed text, and paste into Notepad. If that works, you have a working local OCR path. If it fails, check architecture, SmartScreen, and the Windows OCR language pack before you download a second copy from a different site.
Grab Frame is the next useful mode when you need a parked window over a live app. Edit Text Window helps after the clipboard already has text worth cleaning. Quick Simple Lookup stores snippets; it is not OCR. Keep those distinctions straight so you do not troubleshoot the wrong mode.
Update door you already chose
If GitHub Releases installed Text-Grab.exe or Text-Grab-arm64.exe, take the newer matching file from the same Releases page when you update. If the Store installed the app, update through the Store. Do not stack three mirrors because the first paste felt slow. Removal uses Windows Apps and features for the installed app, or deleting the folder for a zip layout.
